Gabbro-diabase is an igneous rock. It is a natural stone characterized by a black color with minor colored inclusions. It has high density but relatively low mechanical strength (it's easily split). Due to its increased thermal conductivity, it heats up quickly and evenly. The sufficient heat capacity of the rock ensures good heat transfer and generates a large amount of steam when water is added.

This rock can be used as a component of a combined filling, placing it where it contacts the hottest part of the stove. The service life is 2-3 years with average sauna use of once per week.
